Bakker gebruikt strategie\u00ebn voor het maken van tentoonstellingen die locatiespecifiek zijn, waarbij hij tentoonstellingen beschouwt als een activator voor het produceren van vele mogelijke betekenissen en discursieve ervaringen. Zijn po\u00ebtische werk ontleent zijn esthetische invloeden zoals film, beeldhouwkunst en literatuur. Visuele of tekstuele bronnen en idee\u00ebn worden herhaald in verschillende werken, een indicatie van zijn verlangen om de idee\u00ebn in het spel te houden of ze weer tot leven te brengen als grondstof voor toekomstig gebruik.<\/p>\n<p>Samen draaide Thomas Bakker een aantal 16mm-films ter plaatse in het <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationcab.createsend1.com\/t\/j-i-sjhdrc-l-k\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Afgietselwerkplaats<\/a>\u00a0van het Koninklijk Museum voor Kunst en Geschiedenis van het Cinquantenaire, die deel zullen uitmaken van sculpturen en ruimte-installaties. Deze films worden ontwikkeld, geselecteerd en gemonteerd tijdens zijn residentie bij Fondation CAB.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Bakker stelt zijn nieuwe werken tentoon in het <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationcab.createsend1.com\/t\/j-i-sjhdrc-l-u\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Afgietselwerkplaats<\/a> van het Koninklijk Museum voor Kunst en Geschiedenis van het Jubelpark op 16 december 2023 van 12 tot 18 uur.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fondation CAB Brussels stelt graag haar 26e artist in residence voor, Thomas Bakker (Nederland, 1969).
