Presentation of Ariane Loze’s catalogue at 3pm, followed by a discussion with the artist and the curator Charlotte Crevits.
Ariane Loze, born in 1988 in Brussels and based between Brussels and Paris, is a video artist who performs in her works. Her work explores the interaction between her body, the camera and the audience, revealing the relativity of points of view and the manipulations inherent in the video medium. In 2019, during her residency at Fondation CAB Brussels, Ariane created a video in dialogue with the architecture of the foundation and exploring the writings of the founding artists of minimal art. This work was presented as part of the Figures on a Ground exhibition at Fondation CAB Brussels in 2020.
The catalogue published by MAC’s and MER Books was published to coincide with the exhibition L’Archipel du moi at MAC’s Grand Hornu.
The discussion will be conducted in English and French.
