EXHIBITION INITIATED BY BANK DEGROOF. OPEN FROM 8TH TILL 17TH MARCH 2013 FROM 11 AM TILL 6.30 PM (EVERY DAY EXCEPT MONDAY)
Initiated by Bank Degroof, the exhibition « Contemporary Future » brings together some major names of contemporary art that stimulate us to view the world differently. A journey both aesthetic and as initiation that invites the visitor to share visions and to discover a mosaic of sublime values.
To this question of the vision of contemporary artists on the world of tomorrow, the answer is multiple, divergent, even contradictory. How to conceptualize or represent what we do not know yet? And in what sense? We let speak the talent, the imagination and the creative power.
For the first time, Bank Degroof brings together some twenty major contemporary works from private collections of large Belgian companies. The exhibition is a unique opportunity to gain access to the collections of the patrons and to admire the works of:
Adel Abdessemed, Jennifer Allora et Guillermo Calzadilla, Daniel Buren, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Jan de Cock, Wim Delvoye, Dan Flavin, Michel François, Liam Gillick, Andreas Gursky, Thomas Houseago, Guillermo Kuitca, Sam Moyer, Navid Nuur, Hans Op de Beeck, Julian Opie, Sterling Ruby, Fabrice Samyn, Ed Templeton, Joana Vasconcelos
Companies that for years have had a passion for art: National Bank of Belgium, Belgacom, Bel & Bo and Katoen Natie.
A passionate collector as exhibition curator: Benedikt van der Vorst
