Jean Prouvé
Fondation CAB in Saint-Paul is dedicating an exhibition to Jean Prouvé, a major figure in 20th-century architecture and design, focusing on his founding ambition: to industrialize the act of building.
Bringing together photographic prints of iconic buildings (from the photographic archives of his iconic architecture, spanning the 1930s to the 1970s), the exhibition unfolds a chronological journey through the evolution of Jean Prouvé’s constructions.
Rare and iconic prefabricated architectural elements-panels, sunshades, doors-testify to Prouvé’s technical inventiveness.
A selection of furniture by the Downtown Gallery complements this collection, presented under the title [title missing].
The exhibition design and selection (archives, furniture, architecture) are by the Downtown Gallery.
