Michael Guttman Tango Quartet

A Tango concert of exploration

The Fondation CAB and Michael Guttman Tango Quartet invite you to a musical journey exploring the Tango on Wednesday 27 April at 7.30pm.

The concert will be led by violinist Michael Guttman accompanied by Lysandre Denoso on bandoneon, Ivo de Greef on piano and Ariel Eberstein on double bass. They will transport the audience to Argentina, a land of welcome and encounters of different civilizations where this musical style was born. This mix gives birth to a music that is rooted in the rhythms and milongas of Buenos Aires, while being deeply universal.

In the heart of Fred Sandback‘s minimalist works, you will plunge into a musical atmosphere ranging from the classical music of the 1950s to the Nuovo Tango with two of its important figures, Piazzola and Rovira.
