Fondation CAB is pleased to invite you to visit the studio of our 16th artists-in-residence Slow Reading Club. We are happy to welcome you to visit their studio on Saturday 22 January from 3 to 6 pm.
Slow Reading Club (SRC) is a semi-fictional reading group initiated in 2016 by dancer and choreographer Bryana Fritz (*1989, Illinois USA) and artist Henry Andersen (*1992, Sydney AUS). They deal in constructed situations for collective and individual reading. Slow Reading Club collaborate on durational reading sessions, exhibitions, performances and printed matter and are currently producing a collectively-written road novel.
For their residency at Fondation CAB, Slow Reading Club prepare a set of Symmetrical Angel Poems; axiomatically constructed poems presented on a number of hand woven supports.
Slow Reading Club premiered in kunstenfestivaldesarts as part of an evening entitle Before the Codes. Since then they have presented work in contexts including MAK Schindler House (Los Angeles, US), Lafayette Anticipations (Paris, FR), Beursschouwburg (Brussels, BE), Bergen Kunsthal (NO), Dortmunder Kunstverein (DE), Cabaret Voltaire (Zurich, CH), Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris, FR), La Loge (Brussels, BE), and ZKM (Karlsruhe, DE). They are represented by Damien & The Love Guru, Brussels.
