Thomas has won the Fondation CAB 2023 prize that rewards a graduate student from La Cambre.
« Taking as starting point my intense experiences with domestic interiors, I create drawings and site-specific interventions that challenge our immediate gaze towards space and architecture. The ground expands or becomes the very support of the drawings, setting a distance with the subjects. Rotations and duplications create new spaces that play with the limits between figuration and abstraction. The subtle harmony, yet powerful and vibrant colours of soft pastel are at the core of my practice. I produce my own sticks and colour charts, working deeply within the material and colour the itself. »
