As part of its Special Projects program, Fondation CAB is delighted to present Shaping Light, by Albert Baronian, a groupe exhibition on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the gallery.
The selection of works presented in the exhibition doesn’t claim to be exhaustive, but rather stems from subjective motivations. Various artistic expressions with neon are covered, bringing historical pieces into dialogue with contemporary practices deploying this material.
Originally introduced as a material for billboards, the luminous tubes are currently omnipresent in our daily lives. Shaping Light brings together art that approaches neon in conceptual, linguistic, spatial, abstract and even figurative ways.
